Course Description

This course equips healthcare providers with essential knowledge and skills for effective care of older adults and their families. Topics include analyzing demographic trends, identifying Healthy People 2030 goals, the interrelationship between social determinants and aging, theories of aging, gerotranscendence theory, psychological strategies for mental health and resilience, primary and secondary aging, and applying normal aging principles for enhanced quality of life. Participants will be ready to provide comprehensive, person-centered care; while promoting well-being and healthy aging for older adults.
